Mr. Lee has 41 years’ experience in a variety of architectural areas prior to and since co-founding Johnson & Lee, Ltd. in 1983. He is a member of the Harvard Graduate School of Design Alumni Council. He has been a visiting professor, critic and lecturer at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Cornell University, Tuskegee University, Tulane University, University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, The School of the Art Institute, University of Detroit and Andrews University. He has lectured at the Chicago Architecture Foundation, the Graham Foundation, Chicago Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Toronto Society of Architects and the Chicago Historical Society. He is a former member of the Board of Overseers at the College of Architecture and the Board of Trustees at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He is also a former board member of the Chicago Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and the Chicago Architecture Club. From 1975 to 1977, Mr. Lee worked as an architect for O’Donnell Wicklund and Pigozzi. From 1979 to 1983, Mr. Lee worked as an architect for Murphy/Jahn.  In 2007, he was elevated by the AIA to the College of Fellows, an honor awarded to members who have made significant contributions to the profession. He was honored for advancing the science and art of planning and building by advancing the standards of architectural, education training and practice.
