July 2013 Developer: Roy Warner Roy’s Furniture store is approximately 22,000 s.f. near the north side of Chicago. The new building is designed on the site to replace a previous
demolished building damaged by a fire. The site is in the DePaul University
section of Lincoln Park in Chicago, IL. DePaul University is adjacent to the new
furniture store. The masonry building is clad on the main
street elevation with
stone and glass.
The remainder of exterior
is masonry to match colors found in the neighborhood. The open plan with no
ceiling and track lighting is designed to focus on the
merchandise a large
glass facade gives
the building maximum display street visibility. |
